If so then we recommend that you complete the CIEH Level 3 TSP Award

This qualification which replaces the popular CIEH Professional Trainer Certificate (PTC) is ideal for people who want to develop their practical training skills and is aimed at first-time trainers and those looking to develop and refine their techniques.

The course is delivered through a three-day intensive programme covering initial assessment, session planning and preparation, training delivery and trainer skills, assessment of learning and evaluation of training courses

Outline of course content

The trainer’s role and responsibilities
Exploring different training and learning approaches to suit different needs
Setting learning objectives and planning interactive training sessions
Training methods and approaches
Delivering inclusive and motivational training
Assessment and evaluation of training including keeping records of outcomes

Course structure and assessment

The first two days will address the content through a variety of individual and group activities. Candidates will be assessed on the third day on their delivery of a group training session (minimum 25 minutes), to other members of the course.

Delegate fees

Fees are £450 (plus VAT) per delegate, inclusive of registration with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). Each course runs with a minimum of five candidates (maximum 8).
